A Weekend in the Mountains
Megan and Jeremy’s wedding weekend in Winter Park was a joyful celebration of love, family, and the beauty of the Colorado mountains — a place they proudly call their second home. Their vision was simple yet heartfelt: to treat their loved ones to a full weekend of fun and connection surrounded by the landscapes they cherish most.
Set against the rustic charm of Headwaters Center, their day balanced elevated mountain refinement with the warmth of home. Every moment — from morning coffee at the family vacation house to late-night laughter on the dance floor — reflected the couple’s easy, genuine spirit and their deep appreciation for the people who helped shape their story.

The Design: Refined, Coordinated, and Intentional
The design of Megan and Jeremy’s celebration was an exercise in cohesion and thoughtful detail. One of the most striking elements was the stationery — custom invitations and day-of signage by Ivory Isle Designs that perfectly mirrored the BBJ La Tavola linens. Vines and subtle stripes became a defining motif throughout the weekend, weaving their way from paper to tablescape.
Shades of blue anchored the palette — a sophisticated blend of steely blue and rich navy with warm, neutral undertones that felt perfectly suited to early fall in the mountains. Lush floral arrangements from Newberry Brothers Florals tied everything together, enhancing the romantic-yet-refined atmosphere.
Perhaps the most playful and personal design detail was the escort display: each guest found their seat with a custom ski pass escort card, a clever nod to the couple’s love of the mountains. Another deeply meaningful touch was the 1,000 cranes handcrafted by Jeremy’s Japanese family — a symbol of hope, love, and longevity — which added a beautiful, heartfelt layer to the décor and celebration.
The morning began at the family’s vacation home, where Megan and her closest friends got ready together. The sentimental setting lent a sense of comfort and familiarity to the day, making the morning feel less like preparation and more like a cherished gathering.
The Celebration
The day was filled with laughter and anticipation. The ladies spent a cozy morning together while the guys enjoyed sports and shuffleboard down the road. Following a reverent Catholic ceremony, the mood shifted into pure celebration.
From the moment the dance floor opened, the energy was electric. Megan and Jeremy set the tone — joyful, carefree, and entirely present. One highlight? Megan’s uncles surprising everyone with lively renditions of wedding classics like “Brick House” — a moment that had everyone cheering and dancing well into the night.
From the Planner
This wedding holds a special place in my heart. Over the course of a year, we planned, designed, and dreamed together — often across time zones and busy schedules. Megan was deep in her OBGYN residency, and her mom Lynn frequently traveled internationally for work, so efficiency and creativity became our planning superpowers.
What made this experience so rewarding was the sense of community that surrounded it. This family came to me through a referral from another beloved client, and it was such a joy to see familiar faces again, to witness another milestone, and to celebrate alongside both families. Watching their joy and connection unfold over the weekend reminded me exactly why I love what I do.
